How to be the *perfect freelancer* who drops zero ballsI have quite possibly the coolest passport photo. ð I look like a spy sent to gather intel for James Bond or some shit. But when I look at it, I remember how hard that day was and how badly I fkd up with a client bc of it. Back before I was full-time freelance, I joined two founders to start their digital agency. It was fast paced, I learned SO MUCH it was insane, but some of that speed came at a cost. On the day I got that photo taken, my dad's health issues were still a mystery. He had just had a botched muscle biopsy looking for answers, but the surgeon was dodging phone calls and refusing to share the results. I was scared, I was angry, I cried â but I still needed to work. So I accidentally uploaded a different restaurant's photo into a live Facebook ad, which OBVIOUSLY the client caught first. ð From that point on, every single time I saw a client's name in my inbox or a Slack message come through, my first thought was: I fucked up. It's SO EASY to miss things and drop balls when you're a *one-person show*Missing things and making mistakes is human. But freelancers seem to be held to a different standard: We gotta stay on top of shit. ClickUp forms are the SHIZ for this and honestly don't get enough credit for just how helpful they can be. Lately I've been obsessing over ClickUp's email integration and this lil' video demonstration shows the perfect harmony between forms + email + bringing everything into a singular task list.
Literally no balls can be dropped this way. It's the ABSOLUTE best. (One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that all emails sent through ClickUp also come to your inbox. Double duty baby.) What use-case is there for a form and email integration in your business, Reader? Reply back and let me know! Here are some general use-cases to get the juices flowing: > Client requests > Sales inquiries > Contact form > Technical support tickets Would you use this? Do you already use it?? Don't keep me in the dark! ðĨš Catch you next week, RBH Robyn Henke P.S. Hot on the idea but cold on the steps? ðĨķ I gotchu. I just launched the Process Power Hour, a 60-minute session that transforms your messiest business process and builds it into a ClickUp system that stops the "I'm reinventing the wheel every time" madness. |
