The process of... processes ๐I don't know if I told you this Reader, but I've basically stopped doing client work to go all in on ClickUp. & I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a bit scary (that's what stepping off the ledge is). But the hardest part has been that at any point, I could be doing 218497234 things to move this new venture forward. Except I'm just one person that only works 6 hours a day at most. I could 100% be paralyzed by a lack of concrete direction... the constant what should I be doing right now stressor, not to mention the financial insecurities ๐ซ What I love most about this scary, exciting, confusing time is how Focus Framework is showing up for me through it all. I created it for the chaos that is juggling multiple clients. Now it's managing the chaos of getting a brand new business off the ground. Old me? I know for a fact, she would be low key panic attacking on the regular, jumping around from this to that, CONSTANTLY needing to "re-strategize" on pen and paper to figure out wtf to do, melting down to my husband, likely shedding a few tears. Focused me? I'm honestly a bit in awe. My newsletters get better every time and it's been nothing but flow state. I'm 2 videos deep into my return to YouTube and the second video is already so much better than the first. I created this profoundly simple system into a course that I KNOW will help freelancers all over the world There's just something so calming and effortless about moving forward when it happens within a framework. It still takes effort to decide where to put my limited time and energy, but after that, it's just going through the motions baby. Let's take my YouTube video creation process as an example...Bc I'm back on YouTube after 1.5 years and rly never learning how to make a good video even then, I'm focusing a lot on the PROCESS. โ Watching YouTube videos about YouTube. โ Taking what experts are saying and turning it into a first stab project template with all the steps and how long I think it will take. But that's just step one... Step two is refining that. Paying close attention to how I'm actually moving through the process. Which steps become irrelevant or which steps were missing. How long a step is actually taking compared to what I guessed. Going back to steps I already closed and tracking more time when I have to go back. ^ I spend time comparing the first try to the second try to the third try, with the ultimate goal of creating an as accurate as can be YouTube project template. So that each week when I create a new video, the steps that show up in my Focus Framework happen exactly as planned and the creative process can flow even better. So when I plan to get it done in 5 days, it actually gets done in five days. Then and only then can you finally BE 100% IN CONTROL of your time. Does this idea make you cringe a little inside or are you like YEAH, that's what needs to happen? Reply back and let me know. The ClickUp + Google combo that's killing your focus โ ๏ธK, hear me out... if you're using ClickUp AND Google Docs + Google Drive? That may be part of why it's so freakin' hard to get shit done. TLDR; they both do the same thing, it takes way longer + crushes your productivity. Let me explain. Thanks for being here friend, Robyn Robyn Henke Subscribe on YouTubeโ
