How to declutter your ClickUp

ClickUp CLUTTER 🥲

It's a very real thing.

The more you add to ClickUp, the more cluttery it can feel.

There is one insanely easy way for you to reduce clutter in your ClickUp right now.

Bc I don't know about you, but 2025 is my year of slowing down and clutter has no place in that.

To feel deeply calm, my space needs to be tidy.

The physical space of my home office tucked in the corner of our bedroom that I tidy most days before starting work.

But also my online space with a ClickUp workspace that's SIMPLE and uncluttered.

(That and my most favourite desktop browser tool Shift that saved me when Chrome started slowing my computer down and tabs were so small I didn't know which was which. I made a quick video about it back in 2023 if you're interested and fyi, I make $0 money sharing it, I just really, really love it)

One of the most common forms of ClickUp clutter are VIEWS.

It’s easy to add views in ClickUp that end up being unnecessary and cluttering your workspace.

Templates often come with multiple views that may seem useful but you never actually use them.

DELETE THEM.

This is #2 in my 3 quick-hit ways to make your ClickUp simpler this year! If you missed #1, peep that email here.

Believe it or not, these views are distracting and add to your mental load.

Step 1: Go through every level of your workspace.

Step 2: Ask yourself: Do I use these or can I delete?

Step 3: If you aren't able to delete it because it's required, head over to the space settings, and change the default view to eliminate the unnecessary view types. ⬇️

The only view I really use is LIST although I generally have 1-3 views for each.

Clean that shit up as we head into the new year. TRUST. It will help.

Clear your space, clear your mind,

Robyn xx

Rejection is a real "B" with an itch Waving at someone who doesn't wave back... the worst. Posting on LinkedIn to crickets? Hold me, please. Singing songs on a stage in front of hundreds, for 1 of 5 chances to play at a massive folk festival in Ontario–and not making it? It took me a solid week to like music again. Remember that email I sent last week about sensing a client's about to fire you? Well, it happened. "Due to some shifting priorities, we are bringing on a new paid advertising...

What to do when there's nothing you can do 🥲 You have a great retainer. You don’t want to lose it. But the account has been… challenging. Not because there’s too much to do. The opposite, actually. I’ve been working with this client for—pause while I realize the one-year mark was last month and I completely missed it. 🫠 And for basically the entire time, I’ve been desperately trying to crack the code of working together. One of the hardest parts about being a freelancer? You’re always on the...

Getting paid to *sit in a chair* is modern-day torture 🫠 One of the weirdest parts about being your own boss... is undoing the 9-5 conditioning. My first "real job" as a uni student was in the office at the Quaker Oats factory my dad worked at. I would wear the button-up shirts and black dress pants, traipse over the aluminum walkway into the plant, and log on to my Windows 95 desktop computer every SINGLE Monday to Friday. ... And have literally NOTHING to do. This was clearly one of those...
